Mr. V. Baalasubramaniyan is a Commerce graduate of the 1975 batch from Madurai Kamaraj University.
He commenced his professional career with short-term assignments as an Accounts Assistant at SIEMA, Coimbatore. In 1977, he joined M/s Kempf (India) Ltd., Coimbatore, a German-collaboration company engaged in the manufacture of propeller shafts for commercial vehicles. Over a distinguished tenure of 16 years, he advanced from the position of Clerk to Assistant Manager (Materials). His exceptional performance in ensuring uninterrupted supply to the production line was highly commended by the management, as it enabled the company to consistently achieve production targets. During this period, the company emerged as a leading supplier, catering to over 60% of the propeller shaft requirements of M/s Ashok Leyland(Hinduja),Ennore & Hosur, as well as Taurus, Tusker, and Sakthiman Defence Trucks. The company also achieved the distinction of successfully developing an import substitute for the Maruti Van propeller shaft—an accomplishment of national significance.
In 1993, Mr. Baalasubramaniyan joined M/s Roots Multiclean Ltd., Coimbatore, a German-collaboration enterprise specializing in advanced industrial floor-cleaning machinery. Over the course of 26 years, he undertook pivotal assignments across multiple departments, including Marketing, Purchase, Stores, Production, and Central Excise. In each role, he consistently delivered exceptional results, transforming these departments into independent profit centres.
Notably, when entrusted with Government Business—which was then operating at a loss—he spearheaded strategic initiatives, successfully secured high-value tenders, and revitalized the division into a profitable business vertical.
Mr. Baalasubramaniyan retired in 2019 as Head – Marketing (Government Business), after an illustrious career spanning more than four decades, marked by integrity, dedication, and exemplary professional accomplishments.
